You can make this drink as dirty as you like, just add or subtract the amount of juice. It may take a few Dirty Martinis to find the balance that is perfect from your taste. Many people prefer to use the brine or juice that is in a jar of olives. Why not? If you have olives, you have juice right there. However, there are also a number of juices that are bottled separately from olives, Dirty Sue is a favourite for many people.

If you are really in the mood for olives, you may want to add considerably more brine. The problem with too much is that you will lose the character of the vermouth and gin.
